We’re really excited to have this next featured artist on board, hailing from the central coast of Sydney, please welcome to the stage Ninajirachi.

This young singer/producer is no older than 18, but has already started to make her mark on the Australian music scene. If you’re a big Triple J follower, you may already be familiar with the name, as Ninajirachi was one of the listed finalists of their “Unearthed High” competition last year. Since then we’ve seen her make her way onto Zane Lowe’s Radio show on Beats 1, hit #1 on the Spotify Viral Charts and she was recently lucky enough to tour nationally with Listen Out festival!

Another accomplishment I think is worth mentioning, Nina was just recently given the opportunity to remix Flight Facilities ‘ARTY BOY’ for maybe Australia’s most reputable label ‘Future Classics‘. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’ve not heard it yet.  {SOUNDCLOUD}

Alright, so we of course, wanted to throw a few quick-fire questions at Nina to get to know her a little bit better, below you can check out her answers, mixtape and tracklisting .

What have you went for & how have you chosen to use your 30 mins in this mix? I made it by going through my iTunes library and literally just picked out songs that I liked and thought went well with the song preceding it in the mix. I wasn’t going for anything in particular; just songs (new and old) that I enjoy listening to, as well as a few of my own.

How long have you been doing what you do? I started writing songs when I was like 8, haha… I have a whole folder of them somewhere. I produced my first whole original song when I was around 13 and I started DJing at my friends’ parties when I was 16.

What swung you into electronic music? It’s easy to put plenty of hours into becoming better at making it because when it comes down to it, everything can be done with just a laptop, which can be taken virtually anywhere with you. It’s excitingly limitless, too. There is always more to learn and new sounds to hear.

How do you best describe your sound? Fun, cute. I’m not good at answering this question.

What’s the game plan for the new 2017? I like to take the weeks as they come so to not jinx anything, but I’d love to travel a bit and I’ll definitely be making plenty of new songs. I do have a new song COMING OUT DECEMBER, keep an eye out.

The whole Aussie scene is growing by the min, so many gems out there now. So, if you could pick any other Aussie to collab with who would it be? Flume! Haha.

& what about one hot tip, if you were a betting man (or lady) who would you bet on to be the next big thing? Muki! I can’t wait to hear more Muki music.

Lastly, hope this is not too personal, but if you had to pick. . . avo’s or mangoes for rest of your life, where would your allegiance lay? Avocados. Mangoes are AWESOME but avos are just so much more versatile.
